Tennessee
St. John’s Community Services began providing services in Tennessee in 1999
with the state government to support adults moving out of Arlington Developmental Center and other state institutions and returning to their communities. Since then, SJCS-TN has provided adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities a comprehensive array of services so that they may live, work, participate and develop relationships in Memphis and Jackson communities of their choosing. Through these services, SJCS-TN has earned the state’s highest "Quality Tier" rating for five consecutive years.
On a limited basis, SJCS-TN provides in-home health services to people with disabilities. In 2008, Case Management was initiated to assist people 65 years and older or 21 years and older with a physical disability to receive health and household support to enable them to remain in their current home.
